Timber Harvesting

The Key to Improving Forest Health

Timber harvesting is an important management tool. When conducted with care and planning, it allows owners to manage forests and meet multiple objectives. The decision to harvest may be recommended in a management plan or may be unexpectedly required due to a disease outbreak, necessitating a harvest to salvage dying trees and prevent further loss.

We strive to work with every landowner to tailor a plan that is right for their property—not only for today but for generations to come. We offer whole tree harvesting/chipping, as well as low-impact harvesting with state-of-the-art equipment which allows us to harvest land with only two pieces of equipment.

The many benefits of harvesting can include enhancing wildlife, encouraging growth and improving aesthetics and health—while generating profitable margins.

Master Logger Certification

The Professional Logging Contractors of Maine developed the master logger certification (MLC) program in early 2000, in recognition of the importance of certifying natural resources through harvesting companies.
